SO WHO DOESN'T LIKE CHILI?
Well, that stuff in a can that looks and tastes like Alpo… THIS ain't that! Not by a long shot. And no, Chef Greeley isn't going to give you his recipe, so don't even ask. He had already selected the container so this label is designed to fit. It will also need a top label in case it is stored in a reach down case.
NOT A LABEL IN THE TRADITIONAL SENSE
This winemaker's challenge was to design a cost-effective alternative to the typical printed paper labels. The cardinal rule of merchandising—don't look like all the other guys. So this label is silk-screened in two colors and has designed foils to match.
BRING ME A BOTTLE!
Good to have friends in the biz. They know what they better have in their hands when they show up on the doorstep. Now, doesn't this look about as frantic as a frog can get?
BUILD ON YOUR STRENGTHS
When Chef Alan Greeley approached me about his chili project,I put my foot down. "Alan, what you do to ginger is almost obscene. Make a ginger sauce with some snap or I won't do the damn chili label!" Won that one.
OKAY, SO ALAN RETALIATED
Here's his pot pie, and ditto on trying to get his recipe for this as well. Again, Alan chose the container and this will probably also need a second label for the front.
HIGH-END MEDICAL PACKAGING
Used an opaque silver foil and a Pantone gray ink to produce this cost-effective packaging for the instruments necessary for a new ground-breaking medical procedure.
