As a designer I see many logos and corporate Identities where I simply wince every time I see them. One day I asked myself which one of those logos do you see almost daily that reallystands out—in a bad way? Without hesitation, the (dubious) winner: the logo for CPB.
Probably should not admit this this when pitching for paid work, but sometimes you design for the simple joy of creating a new, pleasing design. This is one of those times. It would probably work just as well if reversed out of a rectangle with rounded corners. Have to try that sometime. I'll never get a nickle for this alternative—and I'll never regret spending the time it took to design it.
